Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors(and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to next procedure.

Status LED Circuit Check
■ BSD switch check a voltage of power wiring
1.

IG Key "OFF".

2.

Disconnect BSD LED switch connector.

3.

IGN "ON".

4.

Measure a voltage between battery terminal and chassis ground about the BSD LED switch of connector.

Specification : Battery Voltage

5.

Is the measured voltage within specification?

▶ Go to next procedure.

▶ Check for open or short in the BSD switch Check a voltage of power wiring circuit.

■ Shorted circuit inspection for BSD LED signal circuit
6.

IG Key "OFF".

7.

Disconnect BSD switch & BSD ECU(RH) connector.

8.

Measure resistance between BSD LED signal terminal of BSD ECU harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 1.0 Ω

9.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Check BSD LED switch connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check for open/short in harness.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
