Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

Ignition "ON".

3.

Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

4.

Is DTC status displayed as Present?

	▶ Go to "Current Data Inspection" procedure.
	▶ Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

5.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

6.

Ignition "ON".

7.

Monitor "Brake Light Switch(NO)" and "Brake Switch(NC) - ESP Only" parameters in "Current Data" with GDS.

Specification : Brake not pressed : Brake Light Switch(NO) "OFF", Brake Switch(NC) "ON"

Brake pressed : Brake Light Switch(NO) "ON", Brake Switch(NC) "OFF"

8.

Is parameter displayed within specification?

▶ Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Wiring Inspection" procedure.
