Back probe and measure voltage between power terminal and ground terminal of brake lamp switch.

3.

Operate brake pedal.

Specification : On Brake pedal not pressed : Approx. 12V / On Brake pedal pressed : Approx. 0V

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Substitute with known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. caution In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures. 1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction. 2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for longitudinal sensor offset correction. 3. "Variant Coding".
	▶ Substitute with known-good Brake Lamp Switch and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace Brake Lamp Switch and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
