Component Inspection

■ Check Auto defogger humidity actuator

Ignition "OFF"

Disconnect Auto defogger humidity actuator and connect A/C control module main harness connector.

Connect (+) terminal of battery to OPEN(+) of Auto defogger humidity actuator and (-) terminal to CLOSE(-). (Component side)

Verify that the Auto defogger humidity actuator operates to the OPEN position.

Verify that the Auto defogger humidity actuator operates to the OPEN position with reverse connecting. ( OPEN(+) and CLOSE(-) ). (Component side)

Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.1)

caution

Check for proper operation when BATT(12V) power is supplied and follow safety regulations.

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Perform following procedures.
	▶ Substitute with a known-good Auto defogger humidity actuator and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Auto defogger humidity actuator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Auto defogger humidity Potentiometer(actuator)

Ignition "OFF"

Connect Auto defogger humidity Potentiometer(actuator) and A/C control module main harness connector.

Ignition "ON"

Measure voltage between Signal(F/B) terminal of Auto defogger humidity Potentiometer(actuator) harness connector and Sensor ground(-) terminal of A/C control module harness connector. (Component side)

Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.2)

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Substitute with a known-good Auto defogger humidity Potentiometer(actuator) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Auto defogger humidity Potentiometer(actuator) and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
