Check for the DTC
■ DTC Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

3.

Ignition "ON", engine "OFF".

4.

Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.

5.

Check for any DTCs on the "Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC)" with GDS.

6.

Erase DTC.

7.

After erase DTC Check for any DTCs again.

Is the same DTC occurred again?

▶ Perform following procedures.

▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and, or A/C control module's connector or was repaired and A/C control module memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Monitor GDS Data
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

Check that there is DTC on the engine system.

3.

Check engine first if there is any DTC on the engine system and repair as necessary.

4.

If no DTC, check "Water Temperature" parameter on the "Current Data" with GDS.

5.

Check the value of Water Temperature related parameters changes.

Cursor A : Water Temp. Approx. 91℃(195.8℉) when Low Cooling Fan is in operation.

Cursor B : Water Temp. decreases to 87℃(188.6℉) after Low Cooling Fan operation.

6.

Is parameter displayed within specification?

▶ This is a intermittent problem caused by poor contact of component or control module.

▶ Thoroughly check the looseness, poor connection, bent, corrosion, contamination, deformation or damage of connector.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Wiring Inspection" procedure.
