Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Ground Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.

3.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor and A/C Control Module connector.

4.

Measure resistance between Pin No. 2 (Ground) terminal of Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor harness connector and Pin No. 40 (Sensor Ground) terminal of A/C Control Module harness connector.

Specification : Approx. below 1 Ω

5.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair open or short in signal circuit between Ambient Air Temperature (AAT) Sensor and A/C Control Module and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
