Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Exhaust OCV connector.

3.

Ignition "ON".

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 2 (Power) terminal of Exhaust OCV harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : B+

5.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inpsection" procedure.

▶ Repair open or short in power circuit between Exhaust OCV and Battery and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
1.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Refer to "Shop Manual" and disconnect Exhaust OCV connector.

3.

Ignition "ON".

4.

Measure voltage between Pin No. 1 (Control) terminal of Exhaust OCV harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. 2.5V (Refer to Figure below)

5.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Go to "Component Inpsection" procedure.

▶ Repair open or short in control circuit between Exhaust OCV and PCM and then go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
