Ignition "OFF".

2.

Connect GDS.

3.

Ignition "ON", engine "OFF".

4.

Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" mode.

5.

Check for any DTCs on the "Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC)" with GDS.

6.

Erase DTC.

Fig 1) Diagnostic Trouble Code(DTC) is shown above.

7.

After erase DTC Check for any DTCs again.

8.

Is the same DTC occurred again ?

	▶ Perform following procedures
	▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and, or PCM 's connector or was repaired and PCM memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Neutralize smart key unit with GDS. (Fig 1,2,3)

3.

Neutralize PCM with GDS. (Fig 1,4,5)

4.

Perform key teaching procedure for smart key unit with GDS. (Fig 6,7,8,9,10,11)

Pin code must be prepared to Neutralize Smart Key unit and to perform key teaching procedure.

Did Neutralization successfully performed ?

	▶ Go to next procedure.
	▶ Substitute with known-good ECM/PCM and then check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace ECM/PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Igniton "ON" & Engine "OFF".

7.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

8.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

9.

Perform "Smart Key Code Saving" in "Vehicle S/W Management" and proceed according to the guide.

Pin code must be prepared to Neutralize Smart Key unit and to perform key teaching procedur.

Is the neutralization of Smart Key unit, Engine PCM and key teaching normal ?

	▶ Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in Smart key unit and/or PCM 's connector or was repaired and Smart key unit memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Substitute with a known-good PCM and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace PCM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ PIN code is programmed in Smart key unit, Transponder, ESCL.

1. If the Smart key unit is not registered with PIN, key teaching process is not proceeded.

2. Registering PIN is available after Smart Key unit is neutralized.

3. Neutralization of Engine PCM is available with GDS (Registering PIN code)

4. If the virgin engine PCM is installed on vehicle, Engine PCM is automatically programmed PIN code by Smart Key unit.

5. Registering PIN code is only possible for virgin or neutralized status.
