Component Inspection

Re-connect ECV connector.

2.

Set-up the oscilloscope as mentioned below.

Channel A (+): ECV Power Terminal , Channel A (-) : Chassis Ground

Monitor ECV Control Duty when engine "ON" & idle, and Acceleration.

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Substitute with known-good ECV and then check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace ECV and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
