Component Inspection

■ Check Passenger Air Mix actuator

Ignition "OFF"

Disconnect Passenger Air Mix actuator and connect A/C control module main harness connector.

Connect (+) terminal of battery to WARM(+) of Passenger Air Mix actuator and (-) terminal to COOL(-). (Component side)

Verify that the Passenger Air Mix actuator operates to the WARM position.

Verify that the Passenger Air Mix actuator operates to the COOL position with reverse connecting. ( COOL(+) and WARM(-) ). (Component side)

caution

Check for proper operation when BATT(12V) power is supplied and follow safety regulations.

Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.1)

Is measured value within specification?

▶ Perform following procedures.

▶ Substitute with a known-good Passenger Air Mix actuator and check for proper operation.

▶ If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger Air Mix actuator and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Check Passenger Air Mix Potentiometer

Ignition "OFF"

Connect Passenger Air Mix Potentiometer(actuator) and A/C control module main harness connector.

Ignition "ON" , Engine "OFF"

Measure voltage between Signal(F/B) terminal of Passenger Air Mix Potentiometer(actuator) harness connector and Sensor ground(-) terminal of A/C control module harness connector. (Component side)

Specification : Refer the specifications in Fig.2)

Is measured value within specification?

	▶ Check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Substitute with a known-good Passenger Air Mix Potentiometer(actuator) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Passenger Air Mix Potentiometer(actuator) and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
