Perform "Auto Detected Configuration Reset(ESP(ESC) Only)" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.
Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).
Ignition "ON".
Perform "Auto Detected Configuration Reset(ESP(ESC) Only)" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.
Perform "Variant Coding" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.
Turn Ignition "OFF" and then "ON".
Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.
Is DTC status displayed as Present?
 | ▶ Substitute with known-good HECU and then check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. caution In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures. 1. "ASP Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction. 2. "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" for longitudinal sensor offset correction. 3. "Variant Coding". |
 | ▶ Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors(and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage. ▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
