Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check all connectors(and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to next procedure.

Ignition "OFF".

2.

Disconnect BSD ECU connector and Cluster connector

3.

Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of BSD ECU harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of Cluster harness connector.

4.

Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of BSD ECU harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of Cluster harness connector.

Specification : Below 1Ω

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Check Cluster, BSD ECU(RH) connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Substitute with a known-good BSD ECU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace BSD ECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Substitute with a known-good CLU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CLU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Check for open/short in harness.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
