Component Inspection
■ Sensor software version mis-match check
1.

Check for software version on the BSD sensor label.

2.

Ignition "OFF" and then "ON".

3.

Monitor "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

4.

Is DTC status displayed as Present?

▶ Substitute with a known-good BSD ECU and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace BSD ECU and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ In case of BSD ECU is replaced, BSD Radar Calibration(Reference. 1) and BSD Variant Coding (Reference. 2) must be performed.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ BSD Radar Calibration(Reference. 1)
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

Ignition "ON".

3.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

4.

Select "BSD Radar Calibration" under Vehicle S/W Management.

5.

Refer to following procedure to perform Vehicle S/W Management.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

Ignition "ON".

8.

Select "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

9.

Select "BSD Variant Coding" under Inspection / Test.
