Has a problem been found?
 | ▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "Circuit open and short between IPM and Alarm Control Siren Assy" procedure. |
Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
Has a problem been found?
| ▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
| ▶ Go to "Circuit open and short between IPM and Alarm Control Siren Assy" procedure. |
Ignition off and disconnect battery (-) terminal.
Diconnect a connector between IPM and Alarm Control Siren Assy.
Check Circuit open and short at harness which is from IPM to Alarm Control Siren Assy.
Specification of circuit open : about under 1 Ω
Specification of circuit short : ∞ Ω
Is measured resistance within specific?
| ▶ Substitute with a known-good IPM and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace IPM and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. ▶ Substitute with a known-good Alarm Control Siren Assy and check for proper operation.If the problem is corrected, replace Alarm Control Siren Assy and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
| ▶ Check harness for circuit opened or short and Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
