Remove the crash pad lower panel (A).
(Refer to BD group - "Crash pad")
Disconnect the negative(-) battery terminal.
Remove the crash pad lower panel (A).
(Refer to BD group - "Crash pad")
Remove the ICM relay (A) .
Remove the AHLS unit (A) after loosening the screws and connector.
Remove the height sensor connector (A).
Loosen the mounting bolts (2EA) from height sensor bracket.
Torque :
3 ~ 5 N.m (0.3 ~ 0.5 kgf.m, 2.21 ~ 3.68 lbf-ft)
Remove the height sensor.
Remove the head lamp.
Remove the HLLD (head lamp leveling device) actuator (A) after loosening the bolt (B) following the arrow direction.
Install the AHLS unit.
Install the ICM relay.
Install the crash pad lower panel.
Install the height sensor.
Connect the connector.
Install the HLLD actuator to head lamp.
Install the head lamp.

There’s no loads in vehicle and vehicle should be on flat plane.
Should check of HLLD output value(15% for XM car) after initial setting.
Should do first electrical initial setting by diagnostic tool and then mechanical aiming afterward.
Select the vehicle model and "Head lamp leveling".
GDS can operates actuator forcefully, input/output value monitoring and self diagnosis.
To perform functional test on AHLS outputs, select "Actuation Test".
Select " Parameter setting & Zero position Initial".
Confirm that AHLS operate forcefully in "Head lamp leveling" menu.
To check the DTC of the head lamp leveling system, select "Diagnostic trouble codes"
