Make sure of fuel leak when fuel pressure gauge is installed for low pressure fuel system. Make sure of fuel leak after reassembling fuel hose quick-connector.
When DTC relates to rail pressure is displayed, Normal fuel supplying to high pressure pump must be inspected before checking high pressure fuel system.
IG S/W 'OFF', ENGINE 'OFF'
Disconnect fuel supply hose quick-connector.
☞ Make sure of fuel leak after disconnecting fuel hose quick-connector and an inrush of foreign substances.
Install pressure gauge of low pressure fuel between the fuel hose quick-connectors.
☞ Make sure of using vacuum gauge (CRT-1050), gauge connection tube (CRT-1052), connection adapter (CRT-1053).
Refer to "CRT-1000 Tester composition" of detail inspections (Equipment settings).
IG S/W 'ON', ENGINE 'ON'
☞ Fuel pressure will be 0 bar after rising by 3.5 bar when low pressure fuel pump is operated approx. 2 seconds at IG S/W 'ON'.
☞ Make sure of fuel leak in the quick-connector at ENGINE 'ON' after installing pressure gauge.
■ Specification : Approx. 4.6 ~ 5.2 bar (pointer shook rapidly) at idle (Load is not applied).
Inspect change of the fuel pressure while accelerating engine or stall test.
☞ The more engine rpm is higher, the more pointer shaking is bigger.
☞ Approx. 4.5 bar at accelerating engine (Load is not applied.) or stall test.
IG S/W 'OFF', ENGINE 'OFF'
☞ Fuel pressure will be 0 bar gradually (within 1 ~ 2 seconds) with ENGINE 'OFF'.
