When removing the part of high pressure fuel system, wait for 30~60 seconds and check the pressure relief then proceed your job. And make sure to wear your protective glasses while you are working and keep cleaning your surroundings. Foreign material may cause other problem in fuel system.
For the exact test fuel system install the CRT-1000 and diagnose vehicle.
IG S/W 'OFF' , ENGINE 'OFF'
Disconnect fuel supply hose quick-connector from the function block.
☞ Make sure of fuel leak after disconnecting fuel hose quick-connector and an inrush of foreign substances.
Install low fuel pressure gauge between fuel supply hose quick-connectors.
☞ Use the low fuel pressure gauge (CRT - 1051), gauge connection tube (CRT - 1052) and connection adaptor (CRT - 1053).
Remove tubes (rail to injector).
☞ Use SST (SST-NO : 09314-3A000) for removing high pressure tube.
☞ Remove tubes after cleaning fitting part for blocking inflow of foreign substances.
Use dust caps (CRT - 1035) for blocking inflow of foreign substances.
Install regulator valve (CRT - 1020) and three plug 12 mm to nipple of common rail.
■ Tightening torque : 2.5~2.9Kgf.m
Install flask & holder (CRT - 1030), visible tube (CRT - 1031) to regulator valve.
Connect high pressure gauge (CRT - 1040) and adaptor connector (for Bosch, CRT - 1043) after disconnecting rail pressure sensor connector.
Disconnect all injector connectors and fuel pressure regulator connector.
Connect the dummy to the rail pressure regulator connector.
☞ If not connecting dummy, DTC related rail pressure regulator occurs and no fuel is supplied to the high pressure pump due to fail safe function-deactivation of injector and fuel pump relay.
☞ If there is no dummy, remove fuel pump relay and actuate fuel pump motor by using a jump wire as shown below.
Actuate rail pressure regulator.
☞ Supply battery power to rail pressure regulator using PRV Control Cable (CRT - 1044)
☞ Do not exceed 60 seconds when actuating rail pressure regulator. (Make sure not to increase temperature of rail pressure regulator too much)
Inspect rail pressure rising condition with engine cranking.
