caution

Be careful not to damage to the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire.

3.

Remove the brake caliper mounting bolts and then place the brake caliper assembly (A) with wire as shown in the illustration.

Tightening torque :

63.7~73.5N.m(6.5~7.5Kgf.m, 47.0~54.2lb.ft)

4.

Remove castle nut (B) from the front hub under applying the break.

Tightening torque :

215.7N.m(22.0Kgf.m, 159.1lb.ft)

caution
-

Have the convex side of washer(C ) facing the outside, and then install castle nut (B) and split pin(A) to the driveshaft.

-

After fastening castle nut to the initial tightening torque (22.0Kgf.m), fit the closest hole in the direction of fastening.

5.

Loosen the brake disc mount screw then remove the brake disc(A).

Tightening torque :

4.9~5.8N.m(0.5~0.6Kgf.m, 3.6~4.3lb.ft)

6.

Remove the parking brake cable (A) from the rear axle carrier.

7.

Remove the wheel speed sensor connector (A)

8.

Loosen the strut cover mount bolt then remove the strut cover(A).

9.

Loosen the rear strut assembly mount bolts then remove the rear strut assembly(A).

Tightening torque

Upper :

98.0~117.6N.m (10.0~12.0Kgf.m, 72.3~86.7lb.ft)

Lower :

137.2~156.9N.m(14.0~16.0Kgf.m, 101.2~115.7lb.ft)

10.

Remove the trailing arm (A) from the rear axle carrier.

Tightening torque :

137.2~156.9N.m(14.0~16.0Kgf.m, 101.2~115.7lb.ft)

11.

Remove the assist arm (A) from the rear axle carrier.

Tightening torque :

98.0~117.6N.m(10.0~12.0Kgf.m, 72.3~86.7lb.ft)

12.

Remove the rear stabilizer link(A) from the rear axle carrier.

Tightening torque :

58.8~78.4N.m(6.0~8.0Kgf.m, 43.3~57.8lb.ft)

13.

Remove the rear lower arm(A) from the rear axle carrier.

Tightening torque :

137.2~156.9N.m(14.0~16.0Kgf.m, 101.2~115.7lb.ft)

14.

Disconnect the rear shaft end(A).

15.

Insert a pry bar (A) between the differential case and joint case , and separate the driveshaft (B) from the differential case.

caution

Use a pry bar(A) being careful not to damage the differential and joint.

Do not insert the pry bar(A) too deep, as this may cause damage to the oil seal.

Do not pull the driveshaft by excessive force it may cause components inside the joint kit to dislodge resulting in a torn boot or a damaged bearing.

Plug the hole of the differential case with the oil seal cap to prevent contamination.

Support the driveshaft properly.

Replace the retainer ring whenever the driveshaft is removed from the differential case.
