Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
Has a problem been found?

IG Key "OFF".
Disconnect mirror connector of the RH outside mirror.
IGN "ON".
Check the ground voltage between the RH outside mirror signal circuit and the body of vehicle.
Specification : 5V
Is the measured voltage normal?
![]() | ▶ Go to "Ground Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
![]() | ▶ After inspection between signal circuit and shorted circuit, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG Key "OFF".
Disconnect mirror connector of the RH outside mirror
Check the ground resistance between the RH outside mirror signal circuit and the body of vehicle.
Specification : less than1.0 [Ω]
Is the measured resisance normal?
![]() | ▶ Substitute with a known - good RH outside mirror and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace the mirror and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
![]() | ▶ After inspection between the shorted circuit of RH outside mirror and the wiring harness circuit, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
