AHS sensor is integrated with the optical fiber sensor and the contact sensor.

The light intensity of optical fiber sensor is changed at the crash moment between a bumper and an object. The crashing strength is detected by this change.

The contact sensor is divided into six sections. If a crash occurs, the contact sensor section signal of crashed bumper is turned to "ON". The crashing time and location is detected by this signal.
