Component Location
1. IMU [in SRSCM]
General Description

The yaw rate sensor, lateral G sensor, longituginal G sensor are packaged in IMU(Inertial Measurement Unit).

The IMU is installed in SRSCM and it interchanges signals with HECU through extra CAN line which is only used for communication between HECU and the IMU.

This longitudinal G sensor detects vertical acceleration of the vehicle, while the lateral G sensor detects lateral acceleration of the vehicle. The HECU uses thses signals for the HAC(Hill start Assist Control) function and DBC(Down hill Brake Control) function.

DTC Description

If abnormal zero-setting is detected or no information in the HECU is detected, a failure is recognized.

Signal Monitoring

1.

Uncalibrated longitudinal G sensor

Enable Conditions

If the calculated offset value of G-sensor was not saved in EEPROM

If HECU detects sensor replacement

Fail Safe

2WD vehicle : Inhibit the ESP(ESC) control and allow the ABS/EBD control, the ESP(ESC) warning lamp is activated

4WD vehicle : Inhibit the ABS/ESP(ESC) control and allow the EBD control, the ABS/ESP(ESC) warning lamp is activated
