Remove the clip (A) and then remove the shift & select cable from the shift lever assembly.
Remove the floor console assembly.
(Refer to Body - " Floor Console")
Remove the clip (A) and then remove the shift & select cable from the shift lever assembly.
Remove the cable guide (A) from lever assembly.
Remove the retainer (A) after loosen the nut.
Tightening torque :
11.8 ~ 14.7 N.m (1.2 ~ 1.5 kgf.m, 8.7 ~ 10.8 lb-ft)
Air cleaner assembly
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Air Cleaner")
Battery and battery tray
(Refer to Engine Electrical System - "Battery")
Remove the shift & select cable.
Remove the pin (A) and washer (B).
Make unlock clip (B) and then remove the shift & select cable (C) and clip from the bracket (A).
Do not reuse the clip (B).
Remove the shift cable into the cabin room side.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
When installing, set room side Shift lever and T/M side lever to "N" position.
Install the select cable pin after adjust the select cable.
(Refer to "adjustment of control cable")
Shift the shift lever to 3rd gear.
Move the slide clip (B) of guide member (A) in the direction as shown in the illustration.
Install the select cable (A).
Insert the clip in the direction as shown in the illustration and then install the snap pin (A).
Check operating of lever of T/M side when operating shift lever after assembly.
When shift lever to "R" position, check the position of "skirt".
When lever is shifted to each position, if stop occur between two position, re-adjust select cable.
