Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
Remove the floor console.
(Refer to Body - "Floor console")
Loosen the bolts and then remove the rear air vent duct (A).
Pull up the lock, of the SRSCM connector, the disconnect the connector (A).
Remove the SRSCM mounting bolts (3EA) from the SRSCM, then remove the SRSCM.
You must remove or install SRSCM or other SRS components with the ignition swich OFF to avoid accidental airbag deployment.
Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
Install inthe reverse order of removal.
After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
SRSCM is sensing the vehicle rollover. SAB, CAB, BPT will be able to expanse if mechanic moves the SRSCM on vehicle during IGN ON state. For this reason, turn the IGN OFF surely and then remove the SRSCM from vehicle.
If the SRSCM is replaced always perform variant coding. Also, perform the Longitudinal G sensor calibration. (Refer to Restraint - "SRS Control Module")
Ignition "OFF", connect GDS.
Ignition "ON" & Engine "OFF" select vehicle name and ESP system.
Perform Longitudinal G-sensor calibration in vehicle S/W Management menu of the GDS.
Perform the "Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration" procedure with GDS.
Complete the “Longitudinal G-Sensor Calibration” procedure.
