Remove the LH air duct (A) for the rear seat.
Turn the ignition switch off and disconnect the battery nagative (-) cable.
Remove 2nd left seat.
(Refer to Body - "Rear Seat Assembly")
Remove the LH air duct (A) for the rear seat.
Open the fuel pump service cover (A).
Disconnect the fuel pump connector (A), the fuel feed tube quick-connector (B) and the fuel return tube quick-connector (C).
Lift the vehicle.
Remove the propeller shaft. [For 4WD]
(Refer to Drive shaft & axle -"Propeller shaft")
Remove the rear muffler (A). [For 4WD]
Remove the muffler heat protector (B).
Disconnect the fuel filler hose (A).
Disconnect the leveling hose quick-connector (B).
Disconnect the ventilation hose quick-connector (C).
Support the fuel tank with a jack.
Remove the fuel tank band (A) after removing the installation nuts/ bolts. And then, remove the fuel tank (B).
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel tank band installation nut :
39.2 ~ 54.0 N.m (4.0 ~ 5.5 kgf.m, 28.9 ~ 39.8 lb-ft)
Fuel tank band installation bolt :
44.1 ~ 58.9 N.m (4.0 ~ 6.0 kgf.m, 32.6 ~ 43.4 lb-ft)
