Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.

Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

Has a problem been found?

	▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
	▶ Go to next procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect Motor pump connector.

IG "ON" .

Measure voltage between terminal ON/START INPUT of Motor pump harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value normal?

	▶ Go to next procedure.
	▶ Check for open or short in the motor pump(A) circuit. ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect Motor pump connector and 4WD ECU connector.

IG "ON".

Measure voltage between terminal A of the motor pump harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value normal?

	▶ Go to next procedure.
	▶ Check for open or short in the motor pump(A) circuit. ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect a motor pump connector.

IG "ON" .

Measure voltage between terminal B of the motor pump harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value normal?

	▶ Go to next procedure.
	▶ Check for open or short in the motor pump(B) circuit. ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG Key "OFF".

Disconnect Motor pump connector and 4WD ECU connector.

IG "ON".

Measure voltage between terminal B of the motor pump harness connector and chassis ground.

Is the measured value normal?

	▶ Go to next procedure.
	▶ Check for open or short in the motor pump(B) circuit. ▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
