Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals.
Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

Disconnect 4WD ECU connector and ESP connector.
Measure the resistance between CAN-HIGH terminal of 4WD ECU harness connector and CAN-HIGH terminal of ESP harness connector.
Measure the resistance between CAN-LOW terminal of 4WD ECU harness connector and CAN-LOW terminal of ESP harness connector.
Specification : below 1Ω
Is the measured registance within specification ?
