Disconnect the APS and PCM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
Connect the GDS and go to ""Current Data"".
Monitor APS values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).
Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

IG "OFF". Disconnect APS connector.
IG "ON"
Measure voltage between APS2 power terminal of APS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 5V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

IG "OFF".
Disconnect APS connector and PCM connector.
Measure resistance between APS2 signal terminal of APS harness connector and chassis ground.(Measurement "A")
Measure resistance between APS2 signal and APS1(2) ground terminals of APS harness connector.(Measurement "B")
Specification : Infinite
Is the measured resistance within specification ?

IG "OFF". Disconnect APS connector and PCM connector.
Measure resistance between APS2 signal terminal of APS harness connector and APS2 signal terminal of PCM harness connector.
Specification : Approx. below 1Ω.
Is the measured resistance within specification ?
