Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?
 | ▶ Repair the connector. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
 | ▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure. |
Disconnect the ETC Motor, TPS and PCM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
Connect the GDS and go to ""Current Data"".
Monitor TPS values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).

IG "OFF". Disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector.
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between TPS power terminal of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Approx. 5V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?
| ▶ Go to "Signal circuit inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Repair open or short in harness. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG "OFF". Disconnect ETC Motor & TPS connector and PCM connector.
Measure resistance between TPS1 signal and TPS2 signal terminals of ETC Motor & TPS harness connector.
Specification : Infinite
Is the measured resistance within specification ?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Repair shorted in harness. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
