PCM monitors output signals from the HO2S. If an output voltage is out of specified range for more than predetermined time, the PCM sets a P0140 DTC.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause
DTC Strategy |
•
Monitor signal voltage | 1. Poor connection 2. Open in harness 3. HO2S(B1/S2) 4. PCM
Enable Conditions |
•
Battery voltage greater than 10V
•
Engine running longer than 60 sec.
•
Engine at operating temperature
•
No disable faults | ||
Threshold value | Case 1 |
•
Voltage of HO2S between 1.3V and 3.8V (at pumping current ON)
Case 2 |
•
Voltage of HO2S between 0.415V and 0.515V (at pumping current OFF)
Diagnosis Time |
•
Continuous (more than 76.5 sec.failure for every 90 sec.test)
