Has a problem been found ?
 | ▶ Substitute with a known-good throttle body and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace throttle body and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" proc |
 | ▶ Go to "Check MAPS" as follows. |
Check the installation of the MAPS to the Surge Tank.
Check for cracks in Throttle Body and Throttle Valve Binding.
Has a problem been found ?

※ Procedure of ETS Initialization
Erase the trouble codes in PCM
Turn the ignition key "OFF" until the main relay turns "OFF". (It will take about 10 sec.)
Turn ignition key "ON" for more than 1 second to record the throttle motor position in the EEPROM
IG "OFF". Install GDS.
Connect probe to MAPS and TPS to check signal waveform by using oscilloscope function.
Engine running, monitor signal waveform during acceleration and deceleration.
Specification : Signal waveform will be displayed as follows.

Is the relationship between the MAP and the TPS correct?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Substitute with a known - good MAFS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace MAFS and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
