Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Disconnect the Ignition Coil C and PCM connector and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connector.

2.

Connect the GDS and go to ""Current Data"".

3.

Monitor Ignition Coil C for misfires in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).

4.

Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

▶ Repair the connector. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Check voltage
1.

IG "OFF". Disconnect Ignition Coil connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure voltage between power terminal of ignition coil harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. B+

4.

Is the measured voltage within specification ?

▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check for short to ground or open in power supply circuit, from relay to fuse to ignition coil connector.

▶ Repair short to ground or open in harness. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
