AHS CM monitors constantly whether the contact sensor operates while driving at 25~50 kph.
The optical fiber sensor and the contact sensor detect the pedestrian crashing at 25~50 kph.
If a crash occurs, the contact sensor senses it first, and then pedestrian determination logic starts to operate.
AHS CM conducts the optical fiber sensor signal analysis from the pedestrian determination logic and this basically goes through the crashing strength compensation due to vehicle speed and the crashing location apprehended by the contact sensor.
If it determines as a pedestrian crashing, immediately outputs "FIRE" message to drive the actuators and saves the times of messages.
