Terminal & Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection".

Power Circuit Inspection
1.

IG KEY "ON" & Engine "OFF".

2.

Disconnect "ATM solenoid valve" & "TCM" connector.

3.

Measure resistance between power of "OD/C-VFS" connector of ATM solenoid valve and power of "OD/C-VFS" connector of TCM.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ω

4.

Is the measured resistance within specifications?

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check power circuit open and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
■ Circuit open Inspection
1.

Ignition off & Engine off.

2.

Disconnected "ATM solenoid valve" connector and TCM connector.

3.

Measure resistance between "Shfit control solenoid valve(OD/C-VFS)" terminal of ATM solenoid valve connector and TCM connector.

Specification : Approx. 0 Ω

4.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Go to "Circuit short Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check circuit open of harness and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Circuit short Inspection
5.

Ignition off & Engine off.

6.

Disconnected "ATM solenod valve connector and TCM connector.

7.

Measure a resistance between "Shift control solenoid valve(OD/C-VFS)" terminal of ATM solenoid valve connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Infinite

8.

Is the measured resistance within specifications?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Check harness for circuit short. Repair as necessary and go to "Verification Vehicle Repair" procedure.
