Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor connection. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration,or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "W/Harness Inspection" procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
■ Check for open in harness
1.

Ignition "OFF"

2.

Disconnect Intake actuator and A/C control Module main harness connector.

3.

Measure resistance between FRE(+) terminal of Intake actuator harness connector and FRE(+) terminal of A/C control Module harness connector.

4.

Measure resistance between REC(-) terminal of Intake actuator harness connector and REC(-) terminal of A/C control Module harness connector.

Specification : below 1Ω

5.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Go to "Check short to ground in harness" as follows.

▶ Check for open in harness.

▶ Repair as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Check short to ground in harness
6.

Ignition "OFF"

7.

Disconnect Intake actuator and A/C control Module main harness connector.

8.

Measure resistance between FRE(+) terminal of Intake actuator harness connector and chassis ground.

9.

Measure resistance between REC(-) terminal of Intake actuator harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Infinity

10.

Is the measured resistance within specification?

▶ Go to " Component inspection" procedure.
