Disconnect CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH and the PCM/ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
Connect the GDS and go to “Current Data”.
Monitor CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).

IG "OFF". Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector.
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between 'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : 11.5V~13.0V
Is the measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection". |
| ▶ Repair short to ground / open between 'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and 'Cruise supply' terminal of PCM/ECM harness connector, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG "OFF". Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector.
IG "ON".
Measure voltage between 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : 4.8V~5.1V
Is the measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Go to "Check short in signal circuit" as follows. |
IG "OFF". Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector and PCM/ECM connector.
Check resistance between 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal and 'CRUISE MAIN' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector.
Check resistance between 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal and 'Ground(Cruise sw)' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector.
Specification : Infinite
Is the measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to "Check open in signal circuit" as follows. |
| ▶ Repair short in signal circuit, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG "OFF". Disconnect 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' connector and PCM/ECM connector.
Measure resistance between 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal of PCM/ECM connector.
Specification : Below 1.0Ω
Is the measured value within specification?
| ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
| ▶ Repair open between 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal of 'CRUISE REMOCON SWITCH' harness connector and 'Signal(Cruise sw)' terminal of PCM/ECM connector, and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
