Disconnect the MAPS and PCM/ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.
Connect the GDS and go to “Current Data”.
Monitor MAPS values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).
Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

Disconnect MAPS connector.
IG "ON" & ENG "OFF"
Measure the voltage between signal terminal of the MAPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : 0V
Is the measured voltage within specification ?

IG "OFF".
Disconnect MAPS connector.
Measure the resistance between ground terminal of MAPS harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Below 1Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification ?
