Terminal and Connection Inspection
1.

Disconnect the Clutch S/W and PCM/ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.

2.

Connect the GDS and go to “Current Data”.

3.

Monitor Clutch S/W values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).

4.

Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

▶ Repair the connector. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
■ Check for Short to ground in Signal circuit
1.

IG "OFF".

2.

Disconnect clutch switch harness connector.

3.

IG "ON".

4.

Measure voltage between signal terminal of clutch switch harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : 12 V

5.

Is the measured voltage within specification ?

▶ Go to next step as below.

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

■ Check for Open in Signal circuit
6.

IG "OFF".

7.

Disconnect clutch switch harness connector and PCM/ECM harness connector.

8.
