Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
Remove the drive belt. (Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Drive Belt")
Disconnect the alternator connector (A) and the cable (B) from alternator "B" terminal.
Pull out the through bolt and then remove the alternator (A).
Install in the reverse order of removal.
Adjust the alternator belt tension after installation.

Alternator installation bolt:
[M10] 29.4 ~ 41.2 N.m (3.0 ~ 4.2 kgf.m, 21.7 ~ 30.4 Ib-ft)
[M8] 21.6 ~ 32.4 N.m (2.2 ~ 3.3 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 23.9 Ib-ft)
Alternator brace mounting bolt:
21.6 ~ 32.4 N.m (2.2 ~ 3.3 kgf.m, 15.9 ~ 23.9 Ib-ft)
Loosen the nuts (B) and then remove the cover (A).
Loosen the mounting bolts (A) and remove the regulator assembly (B).
Remove the slip ring guide (A).
Remove the pulley (A) after loosening the mounting nut.
Loosen the 4 bolts (A) and then remove the rear housing (B).
Disconnect the rotor (A) and the housing (B).
Reassembly is the reverse order of disassembly.
Reassemble in the reverse order of disassembly.
When reassembling OAD pulley, replace with new OAD cap.
Check that there is continuity between the slip rings (C).
Check that there is no continuity between the slip rings and the rotor (B) or rotor shaft (A).
If the rotor fails either continuity check, replace the alternator.
Check that there is continuity between each pair of leads (A).
Check that there is no continuity between each lead and the coil core.
If the coil fails either continuity check, replace the alternator.
