Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness(es) and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.
Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

IG KEY OFF.
Disconnect battery (-) cable.
Disconnect EMS ECU connector.
Check resistance between C-CAN LOW signal and C-CAN HIGH signal terminal of disconnected EMS ECU connector
Specification : Approx. 120 Ω
Is the measured value within specification ?
![]() | ▶ Perform checking signal waveform of "C-CAN Low and C-CAN HIGH. |
![]() | ▶ The resistance value is around 1.0 Ω : Repair as necessary after finding short between C-CAN HIGH and C-CAN LOW. And then, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" Procedure. ▶ In case of infinity Ω : Repair open or short circuit of C-CAN. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
IG KEY OFF.
Connect battery (-) cable.
Connect EMS ECU connector.
IG KEY ON.
Measure signal waveform of C-CAN LOW signal and C-CAN High signal of BCM connector.
Specification : Signal waveform is as same as standard signal waveform
Is the measured value within specification ?
![]() | ▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure. |
![]() | ▶ Check battery, ground or short each other in C-CAN LOW and C-CAN High of BCM Repair as necessary. Go to "Verifciation of Vehicle Repair" procedure. |
