Transmission oil temperature sensor is installed at valve body. This sensor is used thermistor which is changed by temperature variation. If TCM supplied about 5 voltage to sensor, then sensor output value is changed by ATF temperature variation. Transmission oil temperature sensor is very important for Transmission and sensor value is input to TCM and That information (sensor value) is important used for Damper clutch, Detected Non performance area, Controlled oil temperature variation and oil pressure at change of speed and other use.
