Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Many malfunctions in the electrical system are caused by poor harness and terminals. Faults can also be caused by interference from other electrical systems, and mechanical or chemical damage.

2.

Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.

3.

Has a problem been found ?

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Signal Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Signal Circuit Inspection
■ Open Check
1.

IG OFF.

2.

Disconnect the clutch switch and HECU connector.

3.

Measure resistance of clutch signal terminal between the clutch switch and HECU harness connector.

4.

Measure resistance between ground terminal of clutch switch harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification :Below 1Ω

5.

Is the measured value within specifications ?

▶ Go to "Short Check" procedure.

▶ Repair open in clutch switch circuit between clutch switch and HECU harness connector and then, go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.

IG OFF.

7.

Disconnect the clutch switch and HECU connector.

8.

Measure resistance between clutch signal terminal of the clutch switch harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Below 1Ω

9.

Is the measured value within specifications ?

▶ Go to "Component Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair short in clutch signal circuit between clutch switch and HECU harness connector and then, go to "Verification of vehicle Repair" procedure.
