PCM/ECM sets DTC P2127 if the PCM/ECM detects output voltage lower than the possible range of a properly operating APS2.
Item | Detecting Condition | Possible Cause |
DTC Strategy |
•
Electrical Check | 1. Open or Short to ground in power circuit 2. Open or short to ground in signal circuit 3. Poor connection or damaged harness 4. Faulty APS2 |
Enable Conditions |
•
No error for power supply circuit in APS2
•
APS1 > 1V | |
Threshold Value |
•
APS1 < 0.13V | |
Diagnostic Time |
•
0.3 sec. | |
MIL On Condition |
•
1 driving cycle | |
Limp-Home |
•
Forced limited power mode : The PCM/ECM limits opening angle of the throttle valve to max. 50% and engine torque to a certain pre-determined value.
•
After idle recognition, the PCM/ECM uses APS2 signal to calculate the current opening angle of the throttle valve. |
