Terminal and Connector Inspection
1.

Disconnect the PCSV and PCM/ECM connectors and inspect for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage. Reconnect the connectors.

2.

Connect the GDS and go to “Current Data”.

3.

Monitor PCSV values in Current Data, check and wiggle the harness(es), connector(s), and terminal(s).

4.

Any change in the values indicates a poor connection. Was a connector problem found?

▶ Repair the connector. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Go to "Power Circuit Inspection" procedure.

Power Circuit Inspection
■ Check voltage
1.

IG "OFF". Disconnect PCSV connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure voltage between power terminal of PCSV harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx. B+

4.

Is the measured voltage within specification ?

▶ Go to "Control Circuit Inspection" procedure.

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

Control Circuit Inspection
■ Check waveform
1.

IG "OFF". Disconnect PCSV connector and PCM/ECM connector.

2.

IG "ON".

3.

Measure resistance between control terminal of PCSV harness connector and chassis ground.

Specification : Approx.2~3V

4.

Is voltage within the specification?

▶ Go to next step as below.

▶ Repair as necessary and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.
