Remove the rocker cover assembly.
☞ Check the timing chain for abnormal wear, cracks or damage.
When Impossible starting, engine hesitation, poor power (acceleration) and abnormal compression pressure occur, engine timing alignment should be inspected.
Make sure that another contact trouble between intake (exhaust) valve and piston also can be caused by in accurate engine timing alignment.
IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF".
Remove the rocker cover assembly.
☞ Check the timing chain for abnormal wear, cracks or damage.
Turn the crankshaft pulley to clockwise, and align its groove with timing mark of the timing chain cover.
Inspect timing chain alignment of camshaft sprockets.
☞ Timing mark of the camshaft sprocket must be aligned on the vertical center line (upward direction) of camshaft sprocket.
☞ There must be 4 chain blocks between match points (timing chain and timing marks of camshaft sprockets).
(If timing mark of the camshaft sprocket is in downward direction, Turn the crankshaft pulley to clockwise again.)
