Make sure of fuel leak when fuel pressure gauge is installed for low pressure fuel system. Make sure of fuel leak after reassembling fuel hose quick-connector.

When DTC relates to rail pressure is displayed, Normal fuel supplying to high pressure pump must be inspected before checking high pressure fuel system.

Install pressure gauge of low pressure fuel between the fuel hose quick-connectors.

☞ Make sure of using vacuum gauge (CRT-1050), gauge connection tube (CRT-1052), connection adapter (CRT-1053).

IG KEY "ON", ENGINE "ON"

☞ Make sure of fuel leak in the quick-connector at ENGINE "ON" after installing pressure gauge.

- Make sure of fuel leak in the quick-connector at ENGINE "ON" after installing pressure gauge.

■ Specification : Approx. 12cm.Hg at idle (Load is not applied).

Inspect change of the fuel (vacuum) pressure while accelerating engine or stall test.

- The more engine rpm is higher, the more pointer shaking is bigger.

■ Specification : Approx. 14 cm.Hg at accelerating engine (Load is not applied.) or stall test of engine.

IG KEY "OFF", ENGINE "OFF"

■ Specification : Fuel (vacuum) pressure will be 0 cm.Hg gradually with ENGINE "OFF".

Symptom		Inspection procedure
Case1	● In case that pressure (vacuum) of low pressure fuel line is high (keep 20 ~ 60 cm.Hg ).	● Go to "High pressure fuel system inspection" procedure.
Case2	● In case that pressure (vacuum) of low pressure fuel line is high (keep 20 ~ 60 cm.Hg ).	● Inspect bending and blocking of low pressure fuel system. ● If there is no problem in the low pressure fuel line, Go to "fuel filter inspection" procedure.
Case3	● In case that pressure (vacuum) of low pressure fuel line is low (Keep 0~7 cm.Hg) and there are lots of air bubble inflow in the fuel line (check air bubble through visible tube of vacuum gauge).	● Repair leakage of low pressure fuel line.
Case4	● In case that pressure (vacuum) of low pressure fuel line is low (Keep 0~7 cm.Hg) and fuel is not flowed (or flowing quantity is very small) in the fuel line.	● Replace the high pressure fuel pump assembly after inspecting the low pressure pump in the high pressure fuel pump.(Refer to Fig1)
