Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.

Remove the air vent.

(Refer to the BD group - "Crash pad")

Remove the heater control unit (B) with windshield deicer switch (A).

Remove the heater control unit connector (A).

Install the heater control unit.

Install the seat heater switch module.

It will be able to diagnose defects of rear glass defogger with GDS quickly. GDS can operates actuator forcefully, input/output value monitoring and self diagnosis.

Select "Current data", if you will check current data of front deicer system. It provides input/output status of rear glass defogger.

If you will check the front deicer operation forcefully, select "Actuation test".

To check the DTC of the rear glass defogger, select "Diagnostic trouble codes"
