Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.

Remove the windshield wiper motor and linkage assembly. (Refer to the Body electrical group - Front wiper motor).

Remove the cowl under cover panel assembly (A).

Disconnect the ECM connector (A) and then remove the ECM. (Refer to Fuel system group –ECM) [Except RHD]

Disconnect the battery positive terminal and then remove the battery (B) and the battery tray. [Except RHD]

Disconnect the vacuum hose (A) from the brake booster.

Remove the master cylinder. (Refer to Master cylinder)

Remove the snap pin (A) and clevis pin (B).

Remove the mounting nuts.

Support the engine and transaxle assembly with jack, and then remove the engine mounting bracket (A). Put the engine down slightly. [RHD Only]

Remove the brake tube (A). [RHD only]

Remove the brake booster (A).
