The Gear R switch is used for the Hill start Assist Control function.
If the wrong reverse gear signal has been set for a certain period of time, a failure is recognized.
[A/T] HECU receives reverse gear switch signal from transaxle range switch.
[M/T] HECU receives back up lamp signal from back up lamp switch.
