Remove the lower crash pad switch assembly (A).

Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
Remove the crash pad side cover.
Remove the lower crash pad switch assembly (A).
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
Remove the rear parking assist system switch connector (A).
Remove the rear parking assist system switch (A) from lower crash pad switch assembly.
Take care not to damage the hook when removing the rheostat switch.
Operate the switch and check for continuity between terminals with an ohmmeter.
