Component Inspection
■ Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration
1.

Connect GDS to Data Link Connector(DLC).

2.

Place vehicle on the flat ground.

3.

Ignition "ON".

4.

Align steering wheel to center.

5.

Check for all four tire pressure is similar to each other and within specification. Also, unload any heavy object from the vehicle.

6.

Perform "Longitudinal G Sensor Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management" with GDS.

7.

Operate vehicle or system according to enable condition.

8.

Check for "Diagnostic Trouble Codes(DTC)" with GDS.

9.

Is measure value within specification?

▶ If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the HECU. Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

▶ Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.

▶ Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair" procedure.

caution

In case of replacing HECU, perform following procedures.

1. Perform "Auto Detected Configuration Reset(ESP(ESC) Only)" for Varian Coding.
